Summer Style: White On White

White is the new black. It is or me. At least for Summer. White on white is a trend that I can never get tired of.  It can be playful, sophisticated, sexy, bohemian, casual or polished by just few tweaks of styling and accessorizing. Today's outfit has a white on white with some citrus action going. And the main accessory today has a bitter sweet story - sweet because this scarf is loaned from one of my very good friends (Lets call her Ms A!)  who is as beautiful as she is gracious and talented. The bitter part comes where she moves from USA to India. I will see her soon, I am sure, but I will miss her while she is away!

Meanwhile I can just give her style salute by wearing her beautiful scarf for today's outfit! BTW, she  some of the most beautiful scarves I have EVER seen!

Now the gift givers can either buy the gift outright or 'pitch in' to give it collectively. They can use their credit card of transfer money directly to generate the VISA card for the gift! It all happens so seamlessly (I tried it myself, and have to say I was beyond impressed with the efficiency!) 

It works so well for family/friends scattered around the country who want to pitch in for a gift without the hassle of sending money to one person to buy or writing checks to pool in! Works in scenarios where on person wants to chip in more that the other!
If you want to give the gift, it works the same way, just go to the Ziftlist of the recipient and either buy their gift or pitch in!

Summer Style & Comfort - White Cotton, Blue Denim

Comfort comes first or style? I say both! Today's outfit is my take on classic blue jeans-white T shirt look. It looks as laid back as the country summer but I feel very 'put together' in this peasant style blouse with a rolled-cuff skinny jeans and a splash of bright neon/chartreuse accessories. The preppy striped wedges make this outfit look even more cheerful! Summer-perfect!

Style Trend: Printed Denim

I got lucky last week! These printed denim from Lucky Brand was hiding in the clearance rack at TJMaxx and I found it! Marked down to $29 from original $119, this baby was just waiting to call my closet its home! I love its print and the comfortable fit and the knowledge that I scored a great deal makes this even prettier:-) Styled with a silk blouse (as I did here) or with a basic Tee, this jeans could be my new basic denim!

The constant rain last week made my hair cry! The perpetual frizz and the unruly waves were no match to the Andrea residue we had in east coast, and I weathered the (hair) storm the only way I know, tie 'em up!
